Icecrown, Authenticators, and Whatever Else
Friday, January 08, 2010 :: Posted by Ambrosine
Sorry I haven't updated the front page. There really hasn't been much to update. First off though, Happy New Year (even if it's days late) and I hope everyone had safe, happy holidays.
Next, Icecrown Citadel has opened, and we're currently engaging on the Plagueworks wings. As always, it is not a recommendation but a requirement that you read all strategies you can about the upcoming fights and watch videos. Atanea and Dreth have taken the opportunity to provide some threads in our raiding section about some of the Icecrown Citadel 25 man fights. Preparing for the Plagueworks is brought to us by Atanea, providing videos and links to strategies about the upcoming bosses.
Next up: authenticators. There is a rumor going around (specifically at wow.com) about Blizzard making authenticators a mandatory part of your account. While we here at Legend have not put any stock into this (no offense to the folks at wow.com!), rumors are rumors until the claimed source (in this case, Blizzard) comes right out and admits/denies it. However, even if Blizzard does not make authenticators mandatory, you as a player should purchase one. They're reasonably cheap ($6.50usd with no S&H) and will protect your account. You also get a cute little Core Hound Pup pet when you attach an authenticator to your account. The best part is that an authenticator can cover several accounts, so if you play with family, you can buy one for the lot and be done with.
US users can purchase theirs here, and they are in stock.
Canadian, Australian, New Zealand, and Latin American users can purchase theirs here, and they are in stock.
If you own an iPhone or an iTouch, you can get one for free! This can be done here so if you don't have one but have an iPhone/iTouch, get to it and protect your account.
If you wish to purchase one but do not have the means, please post a thread in the guild's member discussion forum and someone may be willing to assist you without trouble.
Legend Completes Glory of the Ulduar Raider
Friday, November 06, 2009 :: Posted by Ambrosine
The title says it all: Legend has completed Glory of the Ulduar raider. One Light in the Darkness took a few hours of attempts where we kept getting RNG fucked pretty hard but we finally completed it. Congratulations to: Ambrosine, Sunarra, Ångël, Ronisho, Menuo, Dreth, Descimate, Luceria, Darkwither, and Adahli.

New Layout, Recruiting, & More

Looks as if we haven't had much in the way of updating here on the main page. To begin with though, thanks to Dreth for cooking us up a new webpage layout. It looks awesome and so much better than our last one. Thanks sweetie. It was a pleasant surprise when you linked me to it yesterday. :)
In other news, we're still looking to fill some slots up for our ranks. While we generally tend to get pretty lucky and have full 25mans, we're really lacking in certain classes, namely Feral Druids, Ret Paladins, and Restoration Shamans. However, we welcome all classes and specs to apply; you just need to be aware that you likely may not end up with a raid spot every week in favor of senior members. This is especially true for our Mages; we have four - five raiding every week.
I'm also fairly late in announcing this but we added a new officer to our ranks, Rhandric. Rhandric's been a long time member of the guild, recruited after spending many weeks in our Naxxramas 10s (and then 25s) as a pug. So again, late congratulations on that, Rhandric, and he's doing a wonderful job assisting us and playing the role of our second raid leader for the other ten mans.

Onto progression! We are one achievement away from seeing the first round of Rusted Proto-Drakes in the guild. We're hoping to knock those out this week so wish us luck. Our plan is to try and get as many people as possible their Rusted Proto-Drakes, but we are also still encouraging our second 10 man Ulduar raid group to keep doing their own hard modes. As it stands, we have a list of people we plan to take in to help finish off their achievements, swapping around various DPS as needed. Please do not ask where you are on this list; we determined this list based on seniority in the guild, activity, behavior, and other things. You'll be contacted when we're ready to bring you so be sure to check up on all videos about Ulduar 10 hard modes.
